History

Ben Cunningham BENCU has worked as a director, producer, creative director and designer in the Music, Fashion and TV industries since 1989. His clients have included the biggest names in entertainment, from Kylie Minogue, Jimmy Barnes, INXS and actor Tim Robbins to global companies such as Sony, Nike, and L’Oréal. Ben established the 27DC agency in 1997, which was bought by entertainment giant The Mushroom Group in 2000. During his tenure as CEO and creative director, the agency was responsible for cutting edge entertainment marketing across advertising, TV and web platforms, as well as winning an Australian Graphic Design Award for motion graphics. Ben's talent for creating a distinctive point of difference is teamed with his experience in managing the creative process and all avenues of cross-platform marketing. His recent commercial productions include DVD documentaries for US actor Tim Robbins and his Rouges Gallery project, Jimmy Barnes “Rage and Ruin” and Kasey Chambers “Little Bird” and a Channel V / Ten documentary on international dance music phenomenon Sensation (Oak of Love). A music festival fanatic, Ben launched  the Chill Island and Chill City music festivals in Phillip Island and Melbourne that ran from 2007-2010. As a director and founding partner of Wifire Music, Ben launched the first online digital Music distribution business in Australia. He is currently working on a series of projects with corporate clients and maintains a role as Co-Executive producer of a 3D animated feature based out of  L.A .
